What made you start a baby clothes line?:
Quite simply because I love children and I love to sew!I learned to sew as a young girl from my very talented grandmother. I have practiced the craft now for 20+ years and have become quite an accomplished seamstress. I have sewn a wide variety of items....but my true passion lies with children's clothing. It brings me great joy to create these beautiful outfits and see the delight in my clients faces when they proudly wear them.

Currently, I have a shop on Etsy - the place for all things handmade. I love it there because everyone understands the time and effort you put into creating your product.Your line is so fun; where do you get your creative inspiration?:
Children are my inspiration. They are fun, care free and loving and that is what I want my designs to be. Clothes that children love wearing and parents love showing off!As a parent, do you use your children as "test models"?:
I have one amazing son and yes, he has been my guinea pig on many an occasion; he is a really good sport about it.Is Chew Bug Designs your full-time job?:
It is not as of yet, but that is my goal one day to be able to help support my family through my line. I am working really hard at it and I know it will pay off financially eventually.What’s your favorite item that you’ve ever created?:
I am very fond of my Giddy-Up Girl Collection as well as my summer Rhumba sets but my favorite is probably the very first vintage style dress that I created.It was called ‘Cherry Baby’ and was made from a pink and red Cherry fabric with contrasting red gingham. It was also the very first vintage style dress that I sold!
I put a lot of my heart into that dress and it was hard to let it go but it went to a wonderful gal who has become a good friend.
Do you do special packages for baby shower gifts? Special orders?:
Yes, I do both! In fact I have just created one for my niece with the help of some of my fellow Etsians using my Giddy-up girl collection. It is fabulous! There are so many talented artists on Etsy. It is a great place to shop.As for special orders, I do those all the time. In fact, I welcome them. I love to work with customers to get them just what they are looking for.
Finally, what makes your line unique from all the other baby clothing lines?:
I really do put a lot of my heart and soul into every piece I make. When it leaves my studio, a part of me goes with it. Each outfit is handmade with great love and care and takes countless hours to design and produce. Selecting the perfect fabric and trims makes all the difference. The inside of my garments are as clean and finished as the outside. My standards run very high and my customer’s complete satisfaction is very important to me.My Thoughts? The clothing you choose will be made with care, and you can bet there won't be 7 other babies on the block wearing the exact same thing.
