Guide Review - Creative Clips by Colleen

Another line started by a mom, Creative Clips has the right idea. Selling in retail stores across the country - and the world - it seems that Colleen has garnered quite a following - including Ms. Violet Affleck herself.

In addition, Colleen herself is wonderful to deal with and I suspect that her personality has much to do with the success of her company.

Her line has broad appeal also as I showed the clips around the neighborhood to parents and kids alike. There was not one person that did not comment on how cute the clips were and all of the little girls, aged 3-12, were clamoring to look at the style sheet that came in my review package. They simply loved every style! So, even if you decide to not purchase them for your baby, if you have an older girl around, these would be a much appreciated accessory.

My only concern with her line lies in the fact that it uses so many sequins on so many styles. Although all decorative piece are well secured, sequins have a funny way of coming loose and ending up in babies mouths.

In all fairness, the Creative Clips website does have a warning label which addressed the potential for choking hazard, but only suggests that these clips be used in the presence of an adult. While a good though in theory, you can only do so much.

Many styles on the market make use of sequins and rhinestones, so Creative Clips is not alone in this. My suggestion would be to use the non-sequined styles until your baby is a little older, then convert to the sequined styles.
