The tutu market is saturated, so as a maker of tutus, you've got to be creative and make a well-constructed product. Offering a custom designed tutu isn't a bad idea either.
And so is the concept of Tutu Girl. With nearly 20 different designs available to choose from, your girl can twirl the day away in a pom pom tutu, a ribbon streamer tutu, or a rhinestone tutu just to name a few of the wonderful styles available.
Personally, I was able to evaluate the TuTank Twirl which is a custom made piece with a tutu attached to a super soft 1x1 rib tank top. Close to 100 yards of tutu tulle is finished off with a beautiful satin ribbon all around the bottom.
With the TuTank Tutu, you choose from three different tank colors, the color of tulle, and the ribbon edging color. Then, finish it off with bows at the shoulders, a single initial Swarovski crystal embellishment, or an embroidered initial. It couldn't be easier to custom create a very personalized tutu.
When showing this around the neighborhood, the TuTank had wide appeal. Moms loved it, little girls wanted it, and my 10-year-old daughter asked why she didn't already have one in her closet. Based on that response, I would say that it will be a big hit no matter who the lucky recipient is.
