My baby is teething and loves to eat popsicles.

By Stacie McClintock, About.com

Question: My baby is teething and loves to eat popsicles.

The only problem is the bright colors end up making her look like she's wearing a clown suit. Any advice on how to remove popsicle stains?

Answer: Popsicles are a right of passage in the summertime. And while they're a cool treat for a number of reasons, their bright hughes can make laundry seem like a bit of a challenge. Luckily, popsicles are a water-based stained, so they're not as difficult to remove as you might have thought.

The first thing you should do is to rinse the item of clothing in cold water as soon as possible. Then, continue to soak in cold water for 30 minutes.

If the soaking doesn't remove the stain, attack the stained area with a Q-tip dipped in ammonia. Launder with regular detergent and an oxygen-based bleach.

Color-safe bleach is also excellent for removing the last traces of water-based stains.
