Nurses Choice, in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, recently announced a voluntary recall of approximately 4,700 pair of newborn mittens adorned with candy canes, teddy bears, and "2011" on them.
So far, there has been one report of a decoration falling off the white cotton mittens, however, no injuries resulted from the incident.
These mittens were distributed through hospitals nationwide between October 2010 and January 2011.
If you own a pair, you should immediately stop using them and contact Nurses Choice at 1.800.747.7076 or via email at info@nurses-choice.com for replacement information.
