Thrifty Thursday: Save Money on Baby Clothes

Thursday October 29, 2009

Baby clothes can get expensive, there's no doubt. So if you can buy used at a baby consignment store, you're in luck. Clothes are already washed and dried repeatedly, so there's no question how they'll hold up to wear and tear, and as a bonus, they're pre-shrunk!

Whether you're shopping for a new baby or an existing child, you really can't beat the savings and half the time you'll find clothes with tags still attached. In fact, I was just in my local baby consignment store the other day, trying to find some clothes for our soon-to-arrive baby girl, and I found loads of stuff from Baby GAP with tags still on it. Regular retail on the clothes would have been well over $150 and I spent less than $45; not too shabby.

Stacie – I came across your article this morning and found it very helpful. Although not a mum myself, my sister just had her first baby boy and I’ve been trying to help her along the way. I even started my own blog for her.

I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for your articles.

Thanks

Y
